Bilogora is hilly area and therefore offers excellent opportunities for development of sheep breeding. Sheep breed travnička pramenka has the advantage because it belongs to combined breeds of sheep (the possibility to produce meat and milk), has a strong resistance to diseases and a great advantage of using pastures. In Bilogora part of district Grubišno Polje there are about 800 hectares of meadows and grazing lands, so there is a possibility of production expansion for existing or new farms that opt for the production of sheep's milk. Main characteristics of today's sheep breeding in Bilogora are balanced and steady income during the year due to seasonal sales opportunities (lambs for meat and sheep for milking use) and sale of milk to safe purchaser. For a better view of sheep production in the study area were in detail investigated two farms which are engaged in the production of travnička pramenka in semi intensive system for the production of sheep's milk and lamb meat, and they can be a good example to other farmers. Based on display data for A and B farms it is evident that the sheep breeding in Bilogora is profitable and therefore sustainable. Growing this indigenous and resistant breed and secured purchase of milk are the basis for survival of less populated rural area of Bilogora and also for biodiversity conservation.
