| Abstract | Kamilica (Matricaria chamomilla L.) je jedna od najstarijih ljekovitih biljaka poznatih čovječanstvu koja pripada porodici Asteraceae. Kamilica kao korovska vrsta ujedno je i najpoznatija ljekovita biljaka, porijeklom je iz južne i istočne Europe, a koristi se u medicinske svrhe diljem svijeta. U posljednjih godina sve se više upotrebljava kao i stočna hrana prvotno zbog toga što je dobar antireumatik, antibaktericid, sedativ i antiseptik. Također, stimulira i imunosni sustav, a ima antibakterijsko, antivirusno ili protuupalno djelovanje kao i antioksidativna svojstva. Stoga je cilj ovoga rada bio prikazati nutritivne karakteristike zaostale zelene mase (herbe) kamilice i mogućnost njezine primjene kao hrane za ovce. Za potrebe izrade ovog rada analizirani su uzorci zaostale zelene mase (herbe) kamilice iz konvencionalnog i ekološkog načina proizvodnje s područja Virovitičko - podravske županije. Dobiveni rezultati laboratorijske analitike su uspoređeni s prosječnim vrijednostima za sijeno s istog područja. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da herba kamilice ima sličan kemijski sastav i hranidbenu vrijednost kao i sijeno livadnih trava odnosno da između istraživanih parametara (ST, S pepeo, SP, SM, SV, S šećeri, ME i NEL) nema statistički značajne razlike, izuzev sadržaja NDV (P<0,001). Naime, sijeno kamilice ima manji sadržaj NDV u odnosu na livadno sijeno. Obzirom na slične hranidbene vrijednosti, dodatak herbe kamilice u hranidbi ovaca prihvatljiv je na mjestu sijena. Također, potrebna su daljnja istraživanja vezana za utjecaj sijena kamilice na proizvodne odlike ovaca. |
| Abstract (english) | Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) is one of the oldest medicinal plants known to mankind and belongs to the Asteraceae family. Chamomile, as a weed species, is also the most famous medicinal plant, it originates from southern and eastern Europe, and is used for medicinal purposes all over the world. In recent years, it has been increasingly used as animal feed primarily because it is a good antirheumatic, antibacterial, sedative and antiseptic. It also stimulates the immune system and has antibacterial, antiviral or anti-inflammatory effects as well as antioxidant properties. Therefore, the aim of this work was to show the nutritional characteristics of the residual green mass (herb) of chamomile and the possibility of its use as feed for sheep. For the purposes of this paper, samples of residual green mass (herb) of chamomile from conventional and ecological production methods from Virovitica - Podravina County were analyzed. The obtained results of laboratory analysis were compared with the average values for hay from the same area. The results of the research showed that chamomile herb has a similar chemical composition and nutritional value as meadow grass hay, that is, that there are no statistically significant differences between the investigated parameters (ST, S ash, SP, SM, SV, S sugars, ME and NEL), except for the content NDV (P<0.001). Namely, chamomile hay has a lower NDV content compared to meadow hay. Given the similar nutritional values, the addition of chamomile herb in sheep feed is acceptable in place of hay.
